Hey,
it is your writer speaking. Feel free to call me with Cinephile Dimsum or Noa. Actually, I am fine with anything you refer me with, as long as it is not disrespectful in any way. For a quick overview so you have more idea of me, I am an Indonesian who is living abroad, and are currently jiggling between my study, job-seeking, living my life to the fullest, and indulging myself in my hobbies and interests.
This blog is the result of two of my interests colliding: films and writing. What other best thing can happen, right? Right…? Before we go into anything, I think it is good for you to know that this is not going to be your usual film blog, because I am just a self-proclaimed cinephile; I don’t always consume movies and/or series and directly think about all the technicalities that are incorporated inside. The simplest way to put it is: everything that I write here will be rather casual than serious.
When I watch something, I enjoy a lot of things, depending on what they bring to the table, too. Sometimes I am amazed by the pretty shots. Other times, I can get more invested with the exceptional, special effects. On some occasions, I let myself be absorbed by the dialogues and copy-writing. Every so often, the facial expressions and body languages of the actors and actresses are the things that fascinate me the most.
With that being said, I hope you don’t find it confusing that what I feature in here won’t look like what you can find in common film blogs. I might not give any conclusion from the things that I watched, nor that I would explain how the storyline should be interpreted based on my understanding. In short, I will just write what I like and let you have a peek at what’s inside my mind based on the media that I consume.
Last but not least, I hope you could find joy in my inserts, even if it is just by a little!
